So here's the short of it, 
The tomatoes are just sublime!

And here's the long.

Mom invited us for dinner tonight, and I offered to bring the tomatoes.  Oh my - they are just so wonderful this year!  There is no substitute for a vine ripened heirloom tomato variety, except for several varieties in one dish!
