Well, Mom's dog is named HerShe.

HerShe (pronounced Hershey) was born to a rescue taken in by the Faires family from Mom's church.

This is Jenni. The lovely woman of the house who had the puppy and  who does such a wonderful job as the Director of Recreational Ministries at the church. She runs the Day Players and has, in addition to taking in HerShe's Mom, really been great to Valdis!

But to the story of the name.  Apparently the kids and Jenni kept referring to this one little pup as a HE.  Finally one day, Mr. Faires said this pup is not a HE  it's a HER  a SHE, a HerShe.

And she become known from then on as HerShe.
