So here's the short of it,

And here's the long.

Today is our 24th Anniversary.

So I got Alan a new heating unit for the house, and he got me a new air conditioner for the house.

We went out to Costco late this afternoon and shared a hotdog and a polish and a berry smoothie for our anniversary dinner - oh I just have to say - that is so us!

It was a lovely afternoon/evening.

Reliable did get our heat/air unit finished up today. Those ugly vent pipes are gone from the patio! And the vent pipe on the side of the house is really OK.  Hurray for Alan for just sticking with the plan. The guys who were here to do the installation, were just the nicest people. It was really a pleasure to have them here working. They were just great with Sophie and Lola.  (great with us too)  And now we've got a programmable thermostat - aren't we uptown! And the unit is SO quiet, I certainly can't hear it come on!  I'm glad the weather wasn't so horribly hot when the air went out so that it wasn't too uncomfortable.

So Happy Anniversary. It's been quite a ride.  Here's hoping for another 24!
