So here's the short of it, 
I'm looking forward to another weekend with Alan's family.

And here's the long.

But I'm no so much looking forward to the long road trip!

We'll head out early in the morning, and drive to Durham for a family wedding.  It should be a lovely weekend, and we'll get two weekends in a row with some of our family.  That should be fun.

I'm up late - as my mother says, "I've got the big eye."  
I'm almost packed - got one more load of laundry to finish drying and I'll have everything I need for the trip.
