So here's the short of it, 
Today was the Race for the Cure.

And here's the long

 Today was the Komen Race for the Cure at UTC.  For one brief moment last month when we first started talking about it I thought it might be cool to walk the 5K.  

I was pretty lucky to make it through the 1 mile! 

Valdis came down and walked with me.  I was really glad to have him along.  In the last quart mile, the pavement was a little rough, and I had gotten pretty tired.  He was a big help.

We are on the verge.
