So here's the short of it, 
 Today is Sophie's Birthday!

And here's the long.






Here's the birthday dog!  She is two years old today.  Sophie is the first dog we've ever had that we knew a real birthday. Her pregnant mother was rescued by the Pet Placement Center, so they had a record when the litter of 10 was born. I think Sophie might be the pick of the litter!
                                                      










One of her very favorite places in the house is the fireplace.She naps there or just makes herself comfortable when we are sitting in the living room. She's not the first of our dogs to find that to be a wonderful doggie place.  We've never successfully used it as a fireplace because the dogs claimed it right away! We think it's a pretty classy dog hang out.

                                                                        

Sophie got a great big bone for her birthday as well as a small bowl of pumpkin! She was a happy girl and she's been chewing on that bone all evening! We feel really lucky to have such a great dog!
