So here's the short of it,
Today was the Wright Family Reunion.

And here's the long.

Today Alan, Mom, and I made a day trip up to Somerset for the Wright Family Reunion. John Wright was married to Lena Ping.  Their oldest daughter was Ola Dean who married Lawrence Hulbert Howard.  Their oldest child was Dad - Gene Howard.

It's Dad's generation that is keeping the reunion going.  For several years they have been having the reunion at the "Old Pisgah School". This is the first year that we've been since Dad died.  It was a lovely drive up. We drove straight up through all the little towns and unincorporated hamlets strung out along Highway 27.  On the way back we crossed over to I-75 along Highway 92 and took I-75 back to Chattanooga. Oh No! We should have come back down 27!  Just south of Knoxville, after the split traffic slowed to about 20 to 30 miles an hour. It put us about an hour late arriving back in Chattanooga!

It was nice to renew contacts, and lovely to have a nice day with Mom!
