So here's the short of it,
Home from a quick trip to Berea, KY for Gaelyn Rotty's wedding
And here's the long
I suppose that there's nothing more beautiful than a wedding!
Yesterday my cousin Marcia's daughter, Gaelyn, married her college sweetheart. Then this morning she got up and graduated from college! It was a lovely wedding. The minister had done enough pre-marital counseling with them that it seemed he had gotten to know them pretty well - and he personalized his comments and the ceremony in a very special way.
Jeremy, Gaelyn's brother, is standing just to the right of the groom. His wife Ashley is just to the right of Joyce (their Nana). They are expecting their first baby in mid-November!
It was great to see cousins that I don't get to see very often. Ann and Hannah flew in from the west coast and Sue and Ken drove up from Clarksville. The Edwards clan was down from Lexington (all the kids looking so grown), and my sister-in-law Pat drove all the way up from Atlanta for the lovely event. Of course all Joyce's kids and grandkids were there. We get to see Cyndi and David fairly often now that they are living in Gadsden, but we don't see Daniel nearly enough and Mark we see in fits and starts - sometimes fairly often and then we go for a long time without seeing him at all. Since Marcia has moved to Colorado Springs I've not seen her very much at all. It was good to have a chance to visit a bit. I even got a chance to visit with Pat for awhile.
It's good to be home. Tomorrow starts early! Lots of work waiting for me.
