Leaving the nest
And here's the long
Our neighbor has two more baby birds in her chimney!
I thought it was such a metaphor - baby birds all around us fledging this time of year. Some don't make it like the little bird that was in the crowded nest at Mom's house. Some fledge right away and go directly on their journey, and a few others are a bit like the little birds that fell out of their nest and into the chimney. They certainly didn't intend to get into this place, and they are having a hard time figuring out how to get out, but they want to! They are even afraid of the folks that are trying to help them out!

And on another note - but maybe mostly the same - Liga got mostly moved into her apartment today. It's a great place, and she's very excited to be on her own - even though she's here tonight finishing up some laundry. She is going over to spend her first night tonight. She's promised me some pictures for the blog tomorrow. We'll see.
