So here's the short of it, 
Sophie doesn't like the car. 

And here's the long

Sophie has such an aversion to getting in the car.  When she was little, every time we took her somewhere she would get sick to her stomach.  It wasn't long before she just quit wanting to get into the car.  We've been working on getting her in the car.  Alan would say "let's ride", and give her a treat - she wouldn't take it or she would spit it out!  We've decided to stop using the prompt "ride", and are using "get in the car".  She does not like the car at all!  I've gotten into the back seat with some really yummy treats, and she will come into the car.  But as soon as she gets the treat, she is right out. 

Anyway this has all given us pause, as she's overdue her vaccinations.  This evening, our neighbor, who is also our vet, brought home her vaccines and we got her "legal".  Now we've got to continue to work on getting her to overcome her anxiety about riding in the car!
