So here's the short of it, 
Tonight we heard Diane Ravitch speak about public schools

And here's the long.

I told Alan tonight as we were driving home that it sure is nice to share my life with someone who thinks like me about so many things and shares my interest.  I mean I'm glad to have a life partner who thinks hearing Diane Ravitch speak is a good way to spend an evening.

She's written about ten books,   The one I think I should read first is called The Death and Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education. 

I know her ideas are quite controversial, but she sure did hit a note with me.
