This morning I slept in a bit and then enjoyed working in the garden for a couple of hours. It's too darned hot to work much in the garden in the afternoon - it does get cool in the evening.  But this evening I was busy with the dogs!  Alan had a dinner meeting so Mom and I had a girls dinner evening.  She made green beans from her garden and fried squash.  We had a good visit, and then I took Hershey up to the circle to socialize with the other dogs of the neighborhood.  We had lots of dogs out tonight and Hershey got along great with all of them.  Even the two great danes from down across the street from Mom were there.  We walked around the circle until Sophie and Hershey just gave up and went to lay in the front yard.  It was pretty funny - and after all that walking I was too hot and tired to work in the garden this evening. 

Alan and I had lunch with Mommy Anne today.  She was in the beauty parlor when we got there.  Her hair looked so pretty and she was really in a pretty good frame of mind.  Alan walked her from her room to the dining room and she did just fine.  She's not really eating very much, but today she did pretty well at lunch. She's looking forward to having a visit from Myra and Milko at the end of the week.  When we talk about them coming she just lights up.
