So here's the short of it, 
Today I went to a PEO luncheon with Mom.

And here's the long.

Aunt Frances has belonged to PEO for a long time in Lexington, KY.  When Mom moved to Chattanooga for the first time in her life she lived in a place where there was an active PEO chapter.  So Aunt Frances arranged for her to be recruited, and she joined.  I think not too long afterwards, Aunt Joyce joined a chapter in Knoxville.  So now all three sisters belong to the sorority.  They all seem to enjoy it very much.

Today was the founder's luncheon and all of the Chattanooga chapters were in attendance.  I was happy to go and take Mom.  The women who belong are such lovely people.

There's a lot of secrecy surrounding the organization, but their purpose of furthering the education of women is clear in everything they do.

It was nice to be at PEO, but even nicer that Mom and I had some time together.
