So here's the short of it, 
25 years and counting...

And here's the long.

Tonight we went to an anniversary party for some friends who've been married for 25 years.  Every 5 years they have renewed their vows.  Or as husband, Daniel says - tightened the ball and chain.  Not only was it a party, but they said "I do" again.  Actually what they said this time was "I still do".

Jeannie wore the original wedding dress.  Dan played guitar and sang the song he wrote for her 25 years ago. Now, what you can't see in this picture - Jeannie is wearing pink cowboy boots! And Jeans under that wedding dress!

It was fun to see so many people there and find out their connections to Dan and Jeannie.  We all had on name tags.  She said to me I really believe in the Name Tag Project - google it when you get home.  And so I did.  Turns out, it's an effort to get people to interact by removing some of the awkwardness of social occasions where lots of people don't know one another.  It was fun to follow Jeannie's instructions and ask people we didn't know - or even those we did - "now how are you connected to Jeannie and Dan"?

Glad we went, and glad to be home and headed to bed in just a bit.
