So here's the short of it, 
Alan had a second epidural this morning.

And here's the long.

Actually this is not the second one.  He's had several of these over the years - but this is the second one in this "series".  Two is generally all the insurance will cover and then he has to wait awhile.  Today took us all morning long -- and then the instructions were that he was not allowed to be alone the rest of the day.  That was the first time we've gotten those instructions.

Anyway, he did fine except he's experiencing itching all over his upper torso that's related to the procedure.  I know he's been uncomfortable because of that.  They did give him benedryl along with the injection this time, but the itching was still there.

He's resting now and tomorrow he has instructions to take it easy.
