So here's the short of it, 
Alan had an epidural today.

And here's the long.

Alan had another epidural for his neck pain today. He's had several of them over the years, and they do seem to bring some level of relief for his pain.  We were there and then back by late morning.

He gets the twilight sleep anesthesia when they do this, so he's "out" for the rest of the day after having one of them.

He felt a bit better earlier today, but now he's got some pain going on.  According to the articles that I've read, it's pretty common to have some pain in the first few days after the injection.  I'll have to say I don't remember in previous treatments whether he had discomfort after the injection.  Click Here for an article that's pretty informational.

He's got another one scheduled in two weeks.  Let's hope he's going to be getting some good relief.
