So fall break started today.

And here's the long

Fall break is a pretty new phenomenon in Hamilton County.  But this year when teachers and parents were asked to vote on a calendar for next year, I didn't know of one teacher who voted for the option with no fall break!  I took a day off today, so this was really my first day of fall break.  We are off on a fall break trip.  I'm really glad that we have grown children who can house sit and Mom in the neighborhood to keep an eye on things during the day! 

We drove to Atlanta first and had a nice lunch with Betsy and Wayne.  Elizabeth, Josh, and Elijah are in for a friend's wedding so we got to see them for a nice visit.  Steve drove over and gave us the scoop on Destin.  We drove all afternoon and we've lighted in Valdosta, Georgia for dinner and an overnight stay.  Tomorrow we head on to Tampa, where we are bringing reinforcements to the Breast Cancer Warrior, Pennie!
