So here's the short of it, 
Today was our system-wide in-service.

And here's the long.

Teachers have been in school all week doing training, working in their rooms (or in case of our teachers, trying to find a room, a closet, or a corner of some room they can use), getting schedules organized, making contact with principals (those that are itinerant).  But today about 30 of our staff members who work with our intellectually gifted students got to come together for a bit of training and time together.

I always enjoy the teachers I work with.  They are absolutely some of the best and most creative teachers around.  They - well most of them also don't hesitate to speak their minds and it's awesome to watch them network and help out a friend in need.

I felt good about our time together today.  I'm lucky.  This is good work with great people.
