So here's the short of it,
Today would have been Mom and Dad's 65th wedding anniversary.

And here's the long.

After work today, Alan and I took Mom down to the cemetery. It would have been their 65th anniversary.  Dad would have brought her a dozen red roses.

She had these really nice lilies for the cemetery. The cemetery is still in the time of year to allow artificial flowers to remain. The roses that we had taken at Valentine's Day were still there and had actually stood up to the weather pretty well.  Dad would have liked the flowers. I think he also would have liked the geese that we usually see while we're there.

Mom misses Dad so much.  We all do, but I know that losing your life partner has to be so difficult.
