So here's the short of it, 
Irene has brought us a few breezes.

And here's the long.

The news from the East Coast is difficult to hear, but all of the folks that we know or know of seem to have done OK.  The news, though, is showing the worst spots, and some of them are pretty bad. Of course most of the coast is just relieved that it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been.

Irene has brought us cooler temperatures and some lovely breezes. But we didn't get any rain from it at all. This draught has really dried everything up. I didn't irrigate this year, and the tomato garden is just parched.

It's hard to believe that the weekend is already gone. Monday, I'll be ready for you!
