Today was a wonderful family day.

So today we had a good family day.  This morning we went to the zoo with Shelley and Max.   Shelley's friend Erin and her son Spencer joined us.  The Chattanooga Zoo has done major improvements and it was a pretty fun morning.  The zoo is pretty small, but really a good amount of fun for a time out with kids.  I loved all the animal exhibits.  The African Crowned Crane was just a study in beautiful colors.  The jaguar exhibit was lots of fun as well.  The two Jags were playing in their water pond, and having a really good time with one another.   I had heard that they are the most water loving of all the big cats and are really good swimmers, but it was pretty interesting to actually see them romping and playing in the water!

This evening we cooked out for Pennie, Mommy Anne, Mom, Liga, Valdis, Mia and Clyde, and Shelley and Max.  Arvin and Lil came over and joined us for dessert.  Dinner was good and it was really nice to be together. 

Tomorrow is a pretty busy day, and it's pretty late already!  I'm going to try to see if sleep will come a little earlier than usual tonight.
