So here's the short of it,
Today we heard a great motivational speaker.

And here's the long

Today we had the privilege of hearing . Dr. Adolph Brown address us at the opening convocation for Hamilton County Schools.

I really love the message he brings and he is such an entertainer.  It's sure good to start the year off with a good laugh!

There were lots of take homes from today's message but there were a few that I want to write down, because that makes it stick with me a little longer --

So here are just a few of the pithy remarks that landed right on bull's-eye with me.

Some people are just looking for an opportunity to be offended.

Television teaches our children without their permission.

Children who read more, fight less.

The tree is in the seed.

If you don't know what to ask for, you might not get it.

Behavior is either learned or allowed.

There is a difference between a mistake and a bad choice.
A mistake is something you didn't really mean to do.
A bad choice is something you do intentionally and hope you don't get caught.

When things go wrong you don't have to go with it.

If it's something you want, claim it. Speak it into existence.
